Being artistic runs in my blood. My grandma was a triple threat in show business, my relatives and siblings are talented illustrators, my mom is amazing at arts and crafts, my uncle is a chef and some of my aunties are in fashion and the beauty industry. I always knew I'd take a creative path in my life and I always push to monetize my skills whether it's in art, design, modeling, writing and expressive on-camera work.
When I create I either focus on functional art that I see myself or others use or I create as a hobby.. but to create something for fun, I would have to feel the passion or be motivated. I admire artists in all facets, even fashion designers like the great Alexander Mcqueen. His work was true art. He brought drama and extravagance to the runway and his styles are rebellious! I want to be a walking piece of art and wear Alexander Mcqueen everyday. Visual artists I adore off the top of my head is Jim Warren, Andy Warhol and David la Chapelle. Do you see the pattern here? Their work is colorful and surreal but express profound messages. In congruency with my paradoxical personality, I also love art on a darker plane which I've experimented through photographs and video. I find the curvature on a human body beautiful and even the curves of a woman has inspired one of the greatest furniture designers, Christopher Guy, who is also a personal favorite. I learned of him during my internship at the World Market Design Center. I thrive off experiences in life which also translates into my work. Experimentation's have been with various mediums; acrylic paint, watercolor, arts and crafts, oil pastels, marker, computer generated art and metal.
